Animation

Animation
is the process of creating motion and shape change illusion by means of the rapid display of a sequence of static images that minimally differ for each other.

Types of Animation:

1.     Traditional Animation- Traditional Animation is also called Cell Animation, it was the process used for animated films of the 20th century. Traditional animated films were photographs of drawing which were first drawn on paper. Movement was created but having each drawing slightly different from the previous one. An example of a traditional animation is Pinocchio (United States, 1940).

2.     Stop Motion Animation- is done by creating physical objects and photographing them one at a time in order to create movement. Famous movies such as King Kong were animated using Stop Motion Animation.

3.     Computer Animation- is the latest kind of technique which includes 2D and 3D animation. With the use of this technique, the animations are created digitally on computers.

  1. Out of the three styles my favorite is stop motion but I never knew that that was the way King Kong was filmed.
